Yuria Nijiiro (虹色ユリア) is one of the main characters of Magical x Heroine MagimajoPures! She is a shy girl but actually a powerful witch of the Magic World who came to the Human World where the MajoPures were endangered. With Majoka Iris, she transforms into a MajoPure, known as Rainbow Diamond (レインボーダイアモンド).
Biography[]
Appearance[]
Yuria is a magical being of short stature, in the form of a girl around 13 years old. Her long black hair is wrapped with small braids that accentuate her forehead.
Her civilian outfit is a white turtlenecked attire and white ankle boots. In the last episode, she is seen wearing a white blouse-dress with a ribbon, like a princess.
As a MajoPure, she wears a silver with a tint of a purple hooded dress with a four-layered skirt. Her top layer has a unicorn with the MagimajoPures logo shaped as pegasus wings. The next layer is light pink with yellow frills, then light pink again with purple frills, then blue with dark pink frills. She wears a pegasus winged headband and has silver eyeshadow with 3 gems on each side. She wears knee-high socks with the logo and heeled-ankle boots with golden studs. Her hair remains the same but is now tied with two golden dread cuffs, and has orange-colored extensions. She has pastel pink nail polish.
In the style of anime and manga, Yuria has pastel cotton candy-pink hair and light purple eyes. Everything else remains the same except that she doesn't have eye makeup. In anime style, Yuria has light pink hair, no eye makeup, and light pink eyes.
Personality[]
Yuria has a doll-like personality, rarely smiling, and always having a poker face. Blunt, honest, and straight to the point, she doesn't understand the emotions of the others around her. When Momoka was upset about Masahiko's true self, Yuria failed to see why Momoka was upset about it. Even during this upsetting moment, Yuria continued to point out that there was no way to save anybody from the Nuisance World.
Shy and refreshing, she has a strange personality. Yuria is extremely innocent and naive when it comes to human culture, which can cause problems at times. This includes not knowing about special occasions such as Halloween and Christmas, where she doesn't even know who Santa Claus is. After learning about him, she immediately wonders if she can meet him, only to learn from Mitsuki that he only goes to those who are sleeping, which makes her upset that she is unable to.
Although she's difficult to get to know, she wants the best for her teammates, getting upset that she wasn't able to go help them in the Akirameld. Compassionate and loyal, she takes her job to protect the others seriously. She stays true to her duty, rarely getting sidetracked. Due to her deep sense of responsibility, she's more mature and less energetic compared to the other girls. She strongly believes that a Magic Warrior must never falter, however, if the others do, she will make sure to protect them regardless.
Despite her stoic demeanor, every now and then she will loosen up and do something unlike herself, such as dance. She becomes disheartened that unlike the other girls, she doesn't have anything likes. This causes her to search high and low for anything that appeals to her. Upon discovering her love for ramen, she quickly becomes obsessed with it.
Relationships[]
Tiara - She shares her thoughts and blatant feelings with Tiara and the two come across as close. Tiara closely relies on Yuria to keep information private or to protect the girls. Yuria listens to Tiara who guides her and her tasks.
Momoka Aino - At first, Yuria firmly believed that Momoka was an insufficient magical heroine who lacked in various aspects. She couldn't acknowledge her to be the wielder of the Heart Ruby as Momoka seemed unreliable as she had just lost her Majoka Porte. However, over time, Yuria realizes Momoka's warmth and begins to acknowledge her power. Although she knows of Momoka's incompetence, Yuria doesn't have any problem risking her life to protect her.
Etymology[]
Yuria (ユリア) has no particular meaning.
Nijiiro (虹色) like the other characters, represent her powers. Niji (虹) means "rainbow" and iro (色) means "color" therefore meaning "Rainbow-Colored".
History[]
Like Rin, Mitsuki and Shiori, Yuria also came from the Magic World. Due to her mysterious role, not much was known about her.
Synopsis[]
Yuria's Mission[]
Tiara notices and realizes that her arrival is due to the upcoming Majoka Ceremony, the most important ceremony in the Magic World. The ceremony will most likely be interrupted by the Nuisance World, so in order to keep the ceremony safe the power of the four is necessary. However, the girls are far from being able to do so, especially Momoka, the Heart Ruby, who is unreliable. Hence why Yuria's power is also needed. According to Tiara, the future of the Magic World depends on Yuria which leaves Yuria to declare that her mission is to protect the girls.[2]
She overhears the three, as a spirit, while they are suspecting Masahiko and worrying about Momoka. After the school play, Jama Hiko appears before the girls who are close to transforming but before they do, Yuria removes his mask to reveal his identity. Once he disappears, Yuria appears before the girls and introduces herself for the first time.[3][4]
At Tiara, Momoka is unable to believe that Jama Hiko is Masahiko, which leaves Yuria wondering why. She says that the job of the MagimajoPures is to protect the dreams of people, if they don't defeat him, all dreams and hopes will be lost. Shiori wonders if they can purelize him but Yuria states they cannot, Tiara confirms that those from the Nuisance World are unable to be purelized due to the huge dark energy within the Nuisance World. But with all their powers together, they will be able to completely remove him from the human world. After Tiara explains Yuria's mission to the girls, she proceeds to say that the girls need to acquire another power that will be placed into the Majoka Iris but even Yuria doesn't know how to do so. Tiara says that the only thing she knows is that when one grows as a MagimajoPures, a new power will be granted.[4]
Human World Experiences[]
Tiara sends Yuria out to walk Momoka home and they encounter a man doing tricks. Using her sensing ability, she wonders if he's a magic user but he explains he's only a performer. He hands her a flower that emerged from a balloon, however, she decides to use the Copy Moonstone to turn it into a bouquet, returning it to him. Momoka recalls Yuria saving her and she explains that since she came, she's always been watching over her, even bluntly saying that she's not good enough as a Magical Heroine. The Magical Heroine's fight in order to protect people's dreams so they can't waver. Momoka apologizes but Yuria reassures that she will always protect her, resulting in a handshake, which Yuria doesn't know of. When the street performer is turned into an Akiramest, Yuria stops Momoka, saying she wants to be the one to save him. Transforming for the first time, the four girls watch in awe as they have never seen someone use double magic before.[4]
Royal Form[]
The others are suddenly transported to the Akirameld, leaving Yuria and Tiara to wait at the shop much to Yuria's dismay. Unable to use the Teleport Topaz to bring her to where the girls are at, Tiara explains that she can't go to the Akirameld. Further explaining that the Akirameld is similar to the World of Dreams, but the girls have to use their own abilities to get out of there. As she waits, her Majoka Iris begins to glow upon the girls' completion of their obstacles showing three gems in blue, yellow, and purple. Moments later, Momoka receives the Royal Heart Ruby which sends a signal to the Majoka Iris, powering it up. Tiara says that Yuria is now able to go to the girls in the Akirameld. Upon reuniting, they encounter Jama Hiko who sends them into a dark room. She explains to them that because the girls have received the proofs of wisdom, courage, and friendship, as well as Momoka's Heart Ruby evolving, the are now able to transform into Royal Form, as well as the possibility to purelize Jama Hiko.
Yuria reveals to Jama Hiko that he is a caring person despite not understanding it, but he denies it. Mitsuki points out that she can tell because she's a unicorn, which Rin questions if it's related. Yuria senses a human presence from Jama Hiko, assuming that he's probably a child born from a human and someone of the Nuisance World. Jama Hiko denies that he's a human once again, saying it is not possible. Using the Memorial Topaz and the Mirage Ametrine, she reveals his memories to them. This causes Jama Hiko to go berserk and Momoka deciding to purelize him.[5][6]
Finding an Interest[]
Upset that she doesn't have an interest unlike the other girls, Yuria goes out trying to discover something she likes. Smelling something good with her super sense of smell, she walks into a ramen store. Getting interested, she tries the ramen and has discovered for it to be her new interest, eating dozens of bowls without getting full. When the shopkeeper turns into an Akiramest, Yuria purelizes him alone, wanting to protect the things she loves and the person's dreams too.

Transformation[]
Holding her Majoka Iris with her left hand, she creates a circle with two fingers pointed out while saying "Open the Majoka World". The screen of her Majoka Iris glows as the logo jumps out before popping back in again. When the doors are opened, Tiara stands before her glass ball to activate the transformation with her arms open. The Majoka Iris spins around with its jeweled tip glowing before landing into Yuria's hand where she creates a rainbow-coloured star. The star glows and the Majoka Iris is being filled with rainbow-coloured power. When it finishes Yuria appears on the screen. Posing, rainbows fill the area and Yuria spins saying "Majoka Stage Start!". Her gloves, hairband, and eye makeup appear. Yuria's dress glows and she spins away until a unicorn carousel appears with Yuria then replacing one of the unicorns to reveal her wearing her warrior uniform. Dancing, the details on the dress appear. Looking up, a magic glow comes out of the top of Yuria's head to show a unicorn horn which turns into her Majoka Iris. Finishing her dance she says "Rainbow Diamond Yuria" and completes her transformation with a pose. Finally, she ends the sequence with "Magical x Heroine MagimajoPures, Sparkling Magic Purelize!".

Rainbow Milky Fantasy (レインボーミルキーファンタジー): Yuria's special move. It is similar to the Colorful Dream Illusion.
Aurora Dream Revolution (オーロラドリームレボリューション): A 5 person attack, it is similar to the Colorful Dream Illusion.
Royal Dream Purelize (ロイヤルドリームピュアライズ): A 5 person attack with the others in Royal Form. It is more powerful than the other attacks since it can also purelize people from the Nuisance World instead of banishing them.

- Majoka Iris (マジョカアイリス): A tact-like weapon used to attack and cast spells. Compared to the other girls Majoka Lumina's, this tact also allows her to transform.
- Majoka Jewel (マジョカジュエル): Used for transforming.
- Phantomi Coffret (ファントミコフレ): A hexagonal box that could hold Phantomi Perfumes. It only appears in the Phantomirage Movie.
- Kizuna Perfume (キズナパフューム): A perfume that allows the user's cheers to be delivered to the Phantomirages. It only appears in the Phantomirage Movie.
- Lovepat Yell (ラブパトエール): A megaphone device used to give cheers to the Lovepatrinas. Yuria appeared wielding one in the Lovepatrina Movie.

Yuria's Rainbow Diamond Emblem inside her Majoka Jewel
The "Rainbow" Magic Heroine with the "Rainbow Diamond" Majoka Jewel, Yuria is also the spirit of the legendary unicorn.
- Shields: Yuria's specialized skill is her ability to create shields as well as defence. The only member of the MagimajoPures who is able to summon a shield, she herself states that it is her job to protect the other magic heroine's. Despite using a spell to create a shield, she is still fully capable of using other spells for attack.
- Heightened Senses: Because of the unicorn spirit, she has a heightened sense of smell which allows her to sense the presence of both humans and magical beings. Unlike the other girls who rely on their fairies, Yuria can sense Akiramests herself. Because of this ability, she easily noticed that Jama Hiko's mother was human and Momoka's mother was a magical heroine. Aside from smelling beings, she can also smell food from a distance away, and has supersonic hearing.
- Magic Skill: The only member who is able to use two Majoka Jewels in one go, this ability is heightened as she does not require a physical jewel but only in her Majoka Iris instead.
Spirit of the Unicorn[]
Unicorn Spirit
The unicorn spirit is a legendary being that protects the Magic World. The power of the unicorn horn allows the user to have the ability to cleanse evil. With courage, dignity, and nobility, they have the decisive power if they face the enemy without fear.[7]
Royal Form[]
As stated in her first appearance, the girls were told they needed to find a power that they must place into the Majoka Iris. At the time, Yuria was unsure of how to do this but it was later discovered when the four were sent into the Akirameld by Jama Hiko. Rin, Mitsuki, and Shiori overcame their respective obstacles, each gaining proof, the proofs being wisdom, courage, and friendship. With each achieved and Momoka gaining the Royal Heart Ruby, the girls were able to transform into Royal Form. However, Yuria doesn't require the transformation as it is her Majoka Iris that received the power-up, allowing her to trigger the Royal Form transformation.
Because of the power-up, Yuria's shields became much stronger.
